New Year... New Fitness Goal

It has been forever since I have blogged. Lots of changes and of course a crazy busy life with 4 kids. In school and taking my last class before I can apply to the RN program and keeping up the 4.0 while doing it. This is a BIG year for me and birthdays. I REFUSE to go into the new decade unfit and flabby. I am finally ready to do something about it.

This week I am starting a workout program at home and eating healthy. Tossing out the chips, cookies and cocktails at night. My niece just introduced me to the BeachBody products. I have heard of the P90X but now giving things a try. I will post weekly updates of how things are going. This is the new me in 2012.

Working on a website and strongly considering cheering others moms on to get fit and healthy too. Women are great support systems and we find ways to motivate each other when life has us down or overwhelmed.

If you want to take the fitness challenge with me, I would love to have all the support and will do the same for you....

The WebKinz Jr products for ages 3-6 years old

I wanted to share a product for children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. WebKinz is a big hit in our home with my 2 older children. They couldn't understand why they couldn't have a WebKinz Jr. I couldn't help but to laugh.

I wanted to see what other moms thought of the product and get their input. I invited a few of my friends in my moms group over with their children to see what they thought. A few asked what is a WebKinz. What do you do with the tag? It is a soft and cuddly stuffed animal with a access code to the WebKinz website. Children can play on the educational website to learn and play at the same time.

We all sat down and watched a DVD and showed a sneak peek of what they can experience on the WebKinz Jr. website. My son loved the DVD so much, we have to watch it over and over again. I bet we have watched it at least 10 times already. The music CD is also a big hit in our car!

This product is geared to pre-school aged children. They can log on the computer (with their parents help of course) and learn their ABC's, colors, shapes all through a educated learning software.

This would make a great gift for any child on your holiday gift giving list. My son, Caleb loves his new giraffe. He is carrying him where ever he goes. If you are interested in finding out more about this product, you can visit http://www.webkinzjr.com/.

Trust your motherly instincts

My husband and I started to notice our youngest wasn't speaking as much as the other 3 by 18 months. The pediatrician said, "let's see how he is at 24 months." I started to do some research and talking with other moms. I found a great program in the Tampa Bay Area for children under the age of 3. It is called Early Steps. After few phone calls, I had a in home visit scheduled with a counselor to come and ask questions while observing my 22 month old. She determined that he meet the criteria to have a formal evaluation.

We went on 3/17/10 and after a hour of testing my 22 month old, the answer was in. He was right on track with motor skills, cognative, receptive communication but scored very low on verbal communication. I knew that in my heart. He is a very smart child and we have a very limited conversation between us throughout the day, but he understands EVERYTHING I say to him. A mother never wants to think something could be wrong, but i was glad I pursued it. He doesn't have anything life threatening by any mean, but I am so thankful that there is a program that will help us get Caleb on track when the insurance company will not pay for speech theraphy.

We start tomorrow with our first 1 hour session. We are looking forward to our little one to start spilling the words out in the very near future.

Never doubt yourself as a parent. As silly as it many seem, you may have your finger on a big or small problem that can be resolved or corrected. If it turns out to be nothing, that is a wonderful thing to.

Do you have a product that you want reviewed?

I am a mom of 4 chidren under the age of 10. Some of my friends call me supermom~ hense the blog name... I have been in the marketing industry for over 15 years and now enjoy the life as a work at home mom (WAHM). Over my career as a mom, i have had the pleasure of writing a few articles for various national publications on baby and maternity products and running a small business.

If you are a new company or a company that would like to take advantage of the new "viral marketing" concept, I enjoy reviewing products. I give my true opinion and tell it as it is. As we all know, moms are the top spenders in any household. We call the shots in most cases and rely on other moms opinions when making our decisions on products and services.

Contact me if you would like your product considered for a review on my blog.

Have a wonderful holiday season to all!

Here is some info on Stroller Strides. Check them out and tell them I sent you!
